Day 7: One Week In — The Real, Unfiltered Truth About Building a Brand from Scratch

BAD ASS Daily | Week One Wrap-Up

One week. Seven days. And what a ride it's been.

If you'd told me at the start of this week that I'd have launched a brand, created an England World Cup merch line, posted content every single day, run TikTok and Google ads, and gained followers as a faceless content creator — I probably wouldn't have believed you. But here we are.

Let's talk about it honestly.

The Reality of Showing Up Every Day

Keeping up with TikTok trends, staying consistent, posting daily — it sounds simple until you're actually doing it. It's a learning curve that nobody really prepares you for. The momentum is hard to maintain, especially when you're out of pocket and not yet seeing the financial returns you're working towards.

But here's the thing: accountability changes everything.

When you actually sit down and look at the week as a whole — really look at it — the picture is very different to how it felt in the middle of it.

What Actually Happened This Week

  • ✅ Launched a brand — BAD ASS is live and real
  • ✅ Created and launched England World Cup merchandise (that one genuinely surprised me — things just happened that way)
  • ✅ Posted content every single day
  • ✅ Stayed consistent as a faceless content creator
  • ✅ Ran paid ads: £63 TikTok ads (5 days) + £15 Google Ads
  • ✅ Incorporated dropshipping into the business model
  • ✅ Learned Shopify (and yes, argued with AI — we've all been there)
  • 29 followers and 6,524 views in just 2–6 days

No, there hasn't been a sale yet. And yes, that stings a little. But the views are increasing, the followers are growing, and the foundation is being built — brick by brick.

Hints & Tips From the Trenches

One thing I've tried to do this week is share what I'm learning in real time — the wins, the mistakes, the tools, the strategies. Who would have thought that someone just starting out could offer anything useful? But actually, that's exactly the point. You don't need to be an expert to help someone who's a step behind you.

If even one person reads this and feels less alone in their journey, that's a win.

A New Respect for Content Creators

After just one week, I have a genuine admiration for the people who have built their platforms from nothing. I can now see both the benefits and the very real downfalls — the time, the energy, the self-doubt, the algorithm. It's not passive. It's a job.

But the views increasing? That's inspiring. That keeps you going.

The Dream Is Still Very Much Alive

Somewhere out there, I'm still holding onto the vision of 50,000 football fans wearing BAD ASS shirts. It sounds big. It is big. But big dreams are the only ones worth chasing.

Week One Stats

  • 💧 Water drunk: ✔️ (staying hydrated, staying focused)
  • 📱 Social media followers: 29
  • 💸 Ad spend: £78 total
  • 🚀 Products launched: England World Cup Merch + BAD ASS brand

What's Next?

The plan? Keep the momentum. And maybe — just maybe — it's time to sign up to more social media platforms and widen the net.

One week down. The journey is just beginning.

Stay BAD ASS. 💪
