Day 11 – The Algorithm Giveth and Taketh Away

Water today? Not my best effort. We move on. 💧

Day 10 Stats

  • ❤️ 911 likes

The views are climbing, the likes are strong — but the follower count is still stubbornly low. That's TikTok for you.

The TikTok Trap

Here's something I need to talk about, because it's genuinely frustrating.

Since paying to promote a couple of videos on TikTok, my organic views have absolutely tanked. Before the paid promos, videos were hitting 700+ views. Now? Barely scraping double figures.

It feels like the moment you pay TikTok to push one video, they pull back on everything else. Your other content stops being served. It's like they're saying — you've paid once, now pay again.

It's a frustrating reality of how these platforms work. They dictate the pace, and when you play their game, you don't always win. Something to think carefully about before spending more on paid promotion.

Who's Winning on TikTok?

I've been watching the creator space closely. A couple of niches that seem to be doing really well right now:

  • 🔮 Tarot readers — strong engagement, loyal followings, and great like-to-view ratios
  • 🎮 Gaming streamers — cross-platform presence (TikTok, Twitch, YouTube) driving serious numbers

Interesting to observe. Every niche has its own rhythm — the key is finding yours and staying consistent.

Keep Going. Don't Let Anything Beat You.

Short one today, but the message is simple: keep going. The algorithm will not break you. The slow follower count will not break you. Every view, every like, every day you show up — it counts.

See you tomorrow. Be BADASS. 💪
